Yep…..the elites that Govern by Executive Orders.

By pass Legislation because of the unwillingness to work with Congress or the inability to do so.

Elites, like Obama side step Legislation that would make Laws and policy solid and stay.
Remember, “stroke of pen, law of the land”?

Reminds me of someone else though…………let me think here.

Oh, yes…….Trump. He didn’t get a single piece of Legislation through.
He signed more than 100 E.O.s which were promptly all undone by Biden’s second day in office.

Indeed, many of his E.O.s made the economy sing, oil flow, inflation low.
But without Legislation E.O.s are weak and can be easily cancelled out.

It’s truly a two way street…….Trump’s E.O.s made America wealthy and independent.
Trump’s E.O.s are a result of failed ability to work with Congress.
Now they’re all gone.
The art of the deal.

Governor DeSantis was in Congress and a member of the Freedom Caucus. He voted right along with Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows each time.

As Governor, DeSantis is able to get Legislation he wants. He works with the State’s Reps and Senate.

President Reagan was also able to get Legislation passed through a Democrat majority House and Senate.

When you insult and name call people that you’ll need to work with later……..you end up signing over 100 E.O.s.

President Trump is a former POTUS.

He’s also a Candidate that has announced he is running for office again.

DeSantis is a sitting Governor of another State.
That would be like stepping on the toes of the Governor of Ohio if another Governor showed up. Etiquette.

DeSantis has not announced he is running as of yet.

Imagine you’re the Manager of a Kroger……one day another Manager shows up because they heard your store was having issues.
All of your employees stop to listen to the Manager from another store.

Does that degrade your ability to lead? Is that stepping on toes?

Wow, that was post full of hogwash.

Apparently all those Florida Congresscritters are now supporting Trump because they were not happy with the demeanor and arrogance of De Santis.

It’s politics.
We’ll see where it goes.

Speaking of endorsements (now that you brought it up)………

Trump endorsed Ronna Romney McDaniel for RNC Chair again. That’s twice now.

He endorsed Kevin McCarthy for Speaker.

I seem to recall certain people here calling those two Deep State Traitors.

Endorsements…….they’re a complicated thing.

My point was that DeSantis did not act fast to perform his duty to the citizens of Florida.

Your post #19 makes no mention of Florida, but does say how DeSantis failed in Ohio of all places.

I just looked at damage estimates for the area.

It’s small beer budgetarily speaking.

About three hundred homes damaged, damage to public buildings in the tens of millions amount.

How in Hades is it that Florida can’t handle an amount that small?!

Why should federal taxpayers be on the hook for that?!

Or maybe he waited to see if such a request was necessary, not wanting to waste public funds if insurance could cover the losses?

Reading the title of the thread to which I was replying would be more helpful.

It’s obvious that I was referencing Florida to everyone but you.
