Charges against Alec Baldwin have been dropped in the fatal on-set "Rust" shooting, according to sources familiar with the matter. Baldwin, 65, had been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter after fatally shooting cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, on the New Mexico set of the Western in October 2021.

Keeping the firearms on set save was her responsibility, not Baldwin's. (As an actor. As a producer I'm sure he still has some civil liability for what occurred on his production.)

Unbelievable, he pointed a gun at someone, pulled the trigger and killed someone. Certainly a degree of manslaughter or negligent homicide. No charges, such a farce. He was a producer and he knew the crew was quitting because of lack of safety, and he knew the new armorer was not experience enough.
