I was on Forest Park for the annual Parading with the Irish parade and seemed like a still decent neighborhood. I lived in Berwyn for 6 years and noticed that north of 16th St changed significantly before I moved out to Will County (Homer Glen) in 1992.
Not safe anywhere anymore. We had Chicago hoodrats stealing cars out of garages while people were home and a shooting at the McDonalds here in Homer Glen two years back.
All that in a well to do affluent area. Not safe anywhere and that’s why I carry.
