“Good luck drafting Americans to go die for an island on the other side of the planet and make the world safe for Gay marriage.”

We, IMHO, have ZERO chance of winning a war against China. We have no production. We have a narcotic ridden society. We don’t have a youth that is capable. We no longer train marksman, we train people in gender. Their is no battlefield mentality, and IQ have precipitously dropped here in the US.

I am a little stunned, with Joe Biden in their back pocket, they haven’t gone an invaded Taiwan already. I think the Ukraine war gave them pause.

They really don’t need to. Just buy off the billionaires, rig a couple of elections, and follow the Hong Kong model. There is so much cross-strait commerce already that Taiwan’s elites aren’t going to jeopardize their lifestyles by entering a shooting war - no matter how the citizens feel abou it.

It may be that there will be no shooting war for Taiwan. China believes it has already bought it. With enough play-acting and nuke rattling it may well drop into their lap. All they need militarily is a blockade which will weaken us because we lose access to Taiwan’s microchip production. It is even money whether we will seriously challenge a blockade. More likely is “sanctions” and allowing Taiwan to strangle or surrender.
