On the other hand, Mark 7:11-13 shows us that Jesus reprimanded the Pharisees for driving a wedge between parents and their children (my words), effectively nullifying the "Honor your mother and father" commandment by doing so.

In fact, Ephesians 6:4 shows us that the Holy Spirit led Paul to warn fathers not to exasperate their children.

So good parents are protected under 1st Amendment protection of religious expression imo.
