About 100,000 nurses quit due to stress and burnout during the COVID-19 pandemic and and another 800,000 said they intend to leave by 2027, according to a new survey from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
There are about 6.2 million registered nurses total in the U.S. according to the survey. One in five of those surveyed said they plan to leave the industry or retire in the next five years, it found.
Nurses who are older and more experienced are more likely to envision themselves leaving the industry soon, the survey found. More than 600,000 nurses with over 10 years of experience see themselves leaving the industry due to stress by 2027, compared to just under 200,000 nurses with less than 10 years experience.

Remember that hospital ship PDJT sent to New York, and it almost capsized from all the covid patients that needed life-saving treatment?
These “intend to leave” numbers are always ridiculous. Hollywood would have no people left if all those who claimed they would leave if Trump won followed through on their promise. San Francisco would be one-third its current size if all those who “intend to leave” actually left.
A dumb article, too. Raw numbers inform no one. How does this lose rate compare to previous years?
What is alarming is the kind of folk who will replace them, and the ones staying on. NPC’s, every last one.
A lot of them left because of the vaccine mandates - the smart ones, too.
Or fired for not taking the experimental mRNA gene therapy treatment.
I'd like to see the stats for medical professionals being forced to get the so called covid vaccine and resigning.
A lot of corners were cut to rush the covid treatments and we need to learn from our errors so that we don't repeat them again and again. First and foremost we found out that big government, big pharma, and big tech were against us. Worst of all and we confirmed that humans have not changed — that we are willing to drink the koolaid without question.
Will a robot care if Laz pinches it's behind? Probably not. But a nice bot butt cushion would help Laz feel like his last hospital experience.
Once programmed appropriately they will:
This is what happens when you force out people who didn’t want to take the Vax. It creates MORE work for you.
I imagine that watching people get put on Remdesivir and end up dieing on a respirator would cause a lot of stress.
Yup. Lots of turnover in nursing and in teaching, and it seems safe to say that the people leaving are the one's who were most likely to be sensible. They will be replaced by people who just follow orders and promote anything that their Masters tell them to promote. Good little tools of the state.
And I think that was part of the plan. Get rid of as many "troublemakers" as possible, and bring in Party Apparatchiks.
It’s getting so bad that hospital stays are to be avoided at all costs. Remember, nurses are not like teachers, who the leftist government worships. Most nurses work twice has hard as teachers, and they work year round.
Poorly thought out piece. The number FIRED for refusing the fake vax is curiously omitted from this Jr HS grade story.
Ping-A-Ling
The government and hospitals have destroyed the nursing profession. Ask any nurse.
“A lot of them left because of the vaccine mandates - the smart ones, too.”
Exactly, or were fired for not getting the vaccine. Indeed a dumb ass article.
Producing TikTok dance videos IS stressful.
This communist rag publication really wants to try to convince us that medical professionals didn’t leave because they were being forced to take the clot shot. They want us to believe they all left because of stress. What nonsense.
Yeah I don’t remember it either.
The Comfort was actually meant for non-COVID patients, being that hospitals and the COVID camps in Central Park would be overwhelmed.
Yeah, that didn’t quite happen.
