The UK is among a number of countries with military special forces operating inside Ukraine, according to one of dozens of documents leaked online.
It confirms what has been the subject of quiet speculation for over a year.
The leaked files, some marked "top secret", paint a detailed picture of the war in Ukraine, including sensitive details of Ukraine's preparations for a spring counter-offensive.
The US government says it is investigating the source of the leak.
According to the document, dated 23 March, the UK has the largest contingent of special forces in Ukraine (50), followed by fellow Nato states Latvia (17), France (15), the US (14) and the Netherlands (1).
The document does not say where the forces are located or what they are doing.

A former CIA officer told The Intercept that Biden’s use of the preexisting finding has frustrated some intelligence officials, who believe that U.S. involvement in the Ukraine conflict differs so much from the spirit of the finding that it should merit a new one. A CIA spokesperson declined to comment about whether there is a presidential covert action finding for operations in Ukraine.

When people think “troops” or “boots on the ground” they are thinking of combat forces, large numbers, not 14 people who probably aren’t even a group and are probably wearing clean clothes in a safe place.
Yep, do folk not realize we have an embassy in Kiev? 14 troops seems no more than a standard force of marines to secure that.

You said the same thing about Kherson, and that went pretty well for the Ukrainians.
People constantly post up ridiculous numbers of US military ‘bases’ around the world. Vast majority are small contingents protecting embassies and embassy employees.
But remember - Ukraine is an innocent, free and independent country.
