No, I went to a military college, did the ROTC thing and had a medical issue before my junior year. I was “excused”.
When my kids saw my pictures in uniform they asked if I was in the army. I told them I was in the “Vermont Army”.
Never said or suggested that I was a vet.

“Cuz” is a nickname of mine.
( Annie oakly is the other one given to me, on separate occasions by people who didn’t know the others that had also named me that. 3 times I’ve been nicknamed that.)
I was a LT in the “Vermont State Militia”, which was a real thing back then. Evidently Vermont did not give a hoot that I was half blind.
