Precisely what they’re pushing for.

Problem is, since this obviously won’t work, if I was Justice Thomas, I’d be very careful as the left will not hesitate to assassinate him if they get an opportunity.

To avoid embarrassment, it helps to read the excerpt. Give it a try.

When/if recusal is appropriate, Thomas would do that without prompting.

You've been tainted forever on FR in my book. So your post is not much of a surprise coming from you.

OK...so they’ll probably impeach him. But there’s no way in hell that the Senate will convict. So he’ll just caulk it up to yet another “high tech lynching”.

Forgot to mention: are you at all troubled by the fact that you're in agreement with “ProPublica”,an unapologetic Maoist organization?

The major question asked in the above article is why is this being brought up now? Someone in the government passed this information on to Propublica to do a hit piece on Thomas. Because it is not new information. I’m sure the Marshal’s service knew exactly where Thomas was at much as the FBI and CIA would. And, if his security accompanied him, billing was done for their expenses. This is definitely not something a reporter just “discovered”. The info was fed to him.

Even if that was the case, it matters why?

“Even if that was the case, it matters why?”

Because they know that Thomas was staying with friends, not a corporation or organization, or person connected to a case. In those cases it is not necessary to report.

Therefore, this story came out just to try to damage Thomas. Look at the source and its reporting history.

The LA Times reported this story nearly 20 years ago because it was on disclosure reports. After that Thomas stopped disclosing the trips. It is now out there and Thomas hasn’t denied it, just said he’s a dear friend.

It's hard to imagine any Supreme Court judge...liberal or conservative...knowingly and deliberately violating the law. And yes,we can be sure that Rat Party Headquarters is behind this release...expecting him to either resign or to be removed from office by Congress,as Alcee Hastings was some years ago.

___

The judicial conferences meet periodically (every three years now, I believe), and each time the rules are revised a bit. Reporting requirements may change from one update to another and then back again to the previous requirements. It’s hard to know without looking at each update but that could be the reason for changes in information for each year. I used to have access to previous copies, but I am retired and do not have to worry about that stuff anymore. Yippppeeeee!
