George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley is bearish about the long-term prospect of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s 34-count indictment against former President Donald Trump.
During an appearance on Fox News on Tuesday, Turley predicted the case “could collapse” before it got to trial.
“[T]here are substantial threshold legal questions here,” he said. “And this case could collapse before it gets to a trial. And this is not the only judge that will have to look at this. And I think that has to weigh heavily on him. Because there’s no there there.”
Now, whether he can fill in those gaps, we’ll have to see. But you would think if you are going to indict a president, you would — you would rise to that moment of history and tell people with precision what it is that you want to convict him on.

It sounds like the indictment did not say that Trump violated a particular statute. It just said that he acted unlawfully in doing blah, blah, blah. What statute did he violate?
Alvin should have applied for a job as a bouncer at a gay bar. That doesn’t take a whole lot of thinkin’.
Doesn’t matter. The fix is in.

He’s Trump, so his political enemies just make crap up.
There is NO CASE in fact the indictment doesn’t even say what he supposedly did that was so terrible ya think they would have mentioned that LOL but the true crime Trump committed was trying to drain the swamp..he didnt know what a cesspool it is, its unfixable

the reward for Bragg would be grabbin all that a*s as he throws them out..
The Indictment states 35 times that Trump violated Penal Law §175.10.

NY 175.10
If pushed out I guarantee they refile so they can keep him on ice till election.
Democrats are counting on it dragging out until after 2024. They don’t care if he’s convicted or not. The sooner this can be dismissed, the better.
BTTT
But Turley enables this behavior by still voting Democrat ...
My criminal procedure knowledge is limited and very much dated: does the defendant need to be on notice as to the crime(s) of which he is being accused or can they indict on the basis of factual allegations and try to make something fit later? I am saving the indictment for my evening reading, but that bit of info would be great to have going in if anyone knows.
Sucker’s bet. The plan is absolutely to either get a quick conviction with a hand picked jury and drag the appeals out, OR drag the trial out.
If he said it will collapse, I’d be all ears. What he said was weasel words.
Shhhhhh. No one’s supposed to know that.
“Doesn’t matter. The fix is in.”
Biden said so in November.
“We just have to demonstrate that he will not take power …um by uh...if we uh, if he does run …uh, making sure that he uh, under the legitimate efforts of, uh, our constitution does not become the next president again.”

Banana Republic.
I am sure you are fine with the fix that is in.
