Nancy Pelosi Says the Quiet Part Out Loud About 'Proving Innocence' at Trial
Townhall ^ | 3/31/2023 | Nancy Pavlich

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reveled in the indictment of President Donald Trump Thursday night and revealed a lot about the Democratic Party's thinking towards persecution from the government.

In a tweet about the indictment, which was filed in unprecedented fashion by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Pelosi declared trial is a place for an individual to "prove their innocence."

The Tweet: The Grand Jury has acted upon the facts and the law. No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence. Hopefully, the former President will peacefully respect the system, which grants him that right.

The legal standard in the United States of America has always been innocent until proven guilty.

They know he’s guilty. They just have t find out what he’s guilty of. They’ve been trying to find it for about 6 or 7 years now, and have had no luck. But they aren’t going to give up.

If Nancy really feels that a Court is a place to prove one’s innocence, let her go through the process.

Yep, the liberals think everyone’s guilty until proven innocent. What a biotch.

All they need to do, is stretch out this kangaroo court and block any speedy trial process, to keep him off the ballot to be the GOP nominee

Sure they will try to offer a “plea bargain”

Trials are for prosecutors to prove someone is guilty, NOT where the accused have to prove their innocence. The burden of proof is on the Prosecutor, not the defendants.

Which may be one and the same for the current crowd running the D party. But then, Epstein did not have Secret Service protection.

The fact that this woman, who has spent a long lifetime as a lawmaker and for a time was second in line to the Presidency has such a flawed understanding of the Anglo-American legal system speaks volumes.

Yep. Today’s Democrats are following the lead of Stalin’s secret police chief.

And as a side note, I don’t think this will stop with Trump. It will be applied to any conservative Republican threat to their power, or to any conservative Republican that needs to be “punished”. For example, Rudy Giuliani might be next.

Nancy Pelosi is 83. Mitch McConnell is 81. Hard to imagine the narcissism of old coots in power determined to never step aside.

I would say longer than that!

Trump was in high end real estate throughout the world, and Chicago. Doing large business deals in Chicago slays gets the attention of the mafia.

I’m positive his records and transactions were combed through with this same zeal... looking for a crime being committed.

They obviously found nothing.

Donald Trump must have the cleanest record and closets of any one on earth!
