Macgregor the clown has been wrong on everything since the beginning:

Speaking to Fox News three days after the Ukraine invasion began, Macgregor suggested that the conflict was already nearing an end:
The battle in eastern Ukraine is really almost over, all of the Ukrainian troops there have been largely surrounded and cut off. You have a concentration down in the Southeast of 30 or 40,000 of them, and if they don’t surrender in the next 24 hours, I suspect Russia will ultimately annihilate them.”
I don’t think he anticipated the West helping the Ukrainians.
I don’t think we really know the truth of what’s going on over there.
I see a map that has Russia all along the Eastern border and Crimea.
We hear people saying the Ukrainians are winning, but then there are reports of the their casualties. They’re throwing conscripts to fight. They’ve lost 200,000 soldiers.
I agree with him when he says in the end, it will be what could have been negotiated from the beginning.

The Demon-crats opposed MacGregor’s nomination by Trump to be the U.S. Ambassordor to Germany because he supposedly made “racist, xenophobic, and anti-Semitic” remarks.
According to Foreign Policy magazine, MacGregor called refugees fleeing Middle-East violence “unwanted Muslim invaders.”
According to CNN, MacGregor “lamented in an interview posted in 2015 that the European Union provided ‘very luxurious and extremely expensive welfare’ benefits to Muslim refugees during the height of the global migrant crisis and that ‘these people are not coming to assimilate or become Europeans–quite the opposite. They’re coming to take over whatever they can get.’”
Also according to CNN, MacGregor “lamented that the US government intervened against Serbian forces, who engaged in ethnic cleansing and war crimes, during the Kosovo War in the 1990s to ‘put, essentially, a Muslim drug mafia in charge of that country.’”
Also according to CNN, “Macgregor’s hardline opinions on immigration also applied to immigration in the US. Macgregor warned that the most serious threat to US national security was in Mexico and that the country undermined ‘the very strengthened cohesion of our society.’ He claimed that ‘hostile Islamist cells’ operating out of South America were coming into the US through the US border. ‘You can make a damn good argument that the most serious threat to the United States in American society today is the criminality in Mexico, the drug cartels and the human trafficking that is driving millions of Mexicans with no education, no skills and the wrong culture into the United States, placing them essentially as wards of the American people,’ said Macgregor in 2012.”
MacGregor sounds pretty sane to me.
