It’s called suicide drone probably because the Iranians that launched the drone have already been struck in retaliation.

Interesting post. I’d point out that the U.S. long ago gave up any claim to a moral high ground in international affairs.

I don’t know what “anti-American repressive interests and activities” are, but if I lived in any of these foreign countries I’d probably find these to be perfectly reasonable.

Oh, I am reading now we have already struck back!!!

I heard this last night on the news about the drone strike,

And now this morning there has already been a response.

US air strikes ‘kill 11’ in Syria after drone kills contractor
Pentagon said air strikes were carried out in retaliation for drone attack on US-led coalition base that killed a US contractor, injured another, and wounded five US soldiers.

We’ll be lucky if that Ukraine proxy war doesn’t spill over to other areas

and who started that war again?

oh right, Russia illegally invaded a sovereign country on Feb. 24th

(exactly 13 months ago!)

Still not suicide. It was an attack, and the retaliation most likely had no impact on whomever was in control of the drone, or even the person authorizing attack order.

But nice try in trying to cover for what has become the idiot presstitudes. 😋

Russia is a pathetic thugocracy both internally and externally. It is no longer a ‘major player’ in Syria because its resources have been expended in Ukraine. It no longer has the funds, personnel or weapons systems to ‘play’ in Syria by the very rules it established and cultivated for the past 60 years. Assad is the thug he is due to 60 years of KGB patronage, funding, training and tutelage.

The US otoh has the assets to both set the rules and moderate activity in Syria. Example: the elimination of ISIS via thousands of drone strikes since 2014. Now Iran ‘plays’ the terrorist role on Assad’s behalf. So the four Iranians who launched the drone are now dead. Balance and peace are restored. That’s what the US is “doing” in Syria.

Since drones are unmanned, are they implying that the drone committed suicide? Because the targets can't be stated as committing suicide.

AI is writing the headlines. It's conditioning for when our robot overlords are considered to be true life on Earth, and humans as a mere imitation of it.

That may be a true statement, but again, while the first part of AI is factual the second part is a lie.

It is indeed artificial, but it is not intelligence. Computers are not intelligent, they are incapable of thinking for themselves, and will never have that capability to think for itself because it is not a human being. It's a machine.

As a machine, all it can do is give the best representation of intelligence that humans can provide it with through programs telling it how to gather and format input provided to the machine to produce the output.

Everyone should refuse to use the term AI, because that only conditions people to believe that the machine has a degree of intelligence, when all it has is expandable memory, that humans are not blessed with. Though it's also true that humans have much more memory storage than they actually use, a portion of that storage is what keeps their bodies functioning, akin to an operating software for a computer. It also has an immune system, but the software isn't controlled by the brain or the operating system. Those instruction codes are stored in cells.

But for a machine to have expandable memory it still takes a human to build the computer with the ability to keep adding more & more memory to hold the input data, as well as, programming to continue accessing that growing memory. In addition, it needs the power, in the form of electricity to keep operating. If man becomes too dumbed down the computer will die, because of it's inability to procreate itself.

The point is, while humans can create a facsimile to what the Lord created, it doesn't come close to replicating the capability potential humans possess, but it can assist humans to improve the human condition. A machine must rely upon humans, because humans have all the control over the machine, which humans must not allow themselves to become totally reliant upon the machine, as well.

Humans survived without machines, but machines could never survive without humans.

Join the campaign to rid the world of the term AI. 🙂

Austin is a racist scumbag liberal who was promoted through the ranks by EO standards. The only one worse is his lacky in charge of the military.
He wouldn’t make a good short order cook at corner greasy choke and puke snack bar..
He is one of the main reason young white and black conservative men won’t enlist.
Todays military wouldn’t even stand a chance against Greenland fighting a war...
Its not our troops fault its the liberal SB running it....

I wonder if these guys will look back at this picture and think, “Man did I look like an idiot!” Did these people really believe that wearing a mask and a totally open-sided plastic shield was going to protect them from Covid? Wow.

WTF are our servicemen doing in Syria???!?

They're being surrounded. Iran and Saudi Arabia just agreed to re-open embassies, and exchange military reps, brokered by China. Assad's Syria is re-opening embassies in the Gulf. Turkey and Syria are talking again. Russia and Iran have assisted Syria in suppressing the Obama-supported "rebels" who attempted to overthrow his regime.

They're sitting ducks.

“anti-American interests”

Let us take a look at “anti-American interests”

—LGBT—the war to make the world safe for perverts
—Critical Race Theory—getting everybody to hate white people
—”Migrant” open border policy—it turns out there is no “America” any more because the border is open—and btw any terrorist that wants to enter is free to do so
—”Climate change” policy—eliminates US energy independence and creates high energy costs for everybody
—Inflation—debases the currency—you can’t get more anti-American than that.

Hmm—it looks like the most anti-American people on the planet are not in Moscow or Beijing or Tehran...

They are in Washington DC.

Syria is an oil producing nation.

So is Lybia, where we also have guys and also try to keep it out of the press and public eye as much as possible.

Bottom line: Russia is no longer a world power, except for their nuclear arsenal which is on par with ours.

As much as we want to inflate them into a threat when convenient (make them into a Cold War boogieman that wants to conquer the world), the reality is they have 55% our ground forces, 47% our air forces, 43% our naval forces, 40% as many men reaching military age every year, a GDP less than Texas and California combined, less industry, less high tech, less allies (few), and weak allies (Belarus is their most powerful ally and they have the military capabilities of the Netherlands - and that’s about it).

We have been encroaching into their sphere of influence, trying to topple the governments aligned with them, and make these places ours.

We are also working hard on Venezuela, another oil producing nation and also aligned with Russia.

Our battle cry is of course “democracy, freedom, human rights and sovereignty,” all while we support Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and our biggest trade partner is a communist single party regime in China which oppresses religion, makes dissidents disappear and rolls over pro-democracy students with tanks on Tienanmen square. For some reason places like Ethiopia, Somalia, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Rwanda, Chad... don’t get the same attention as places that have oil/gas.
