“And they pulled out their WWI tanks 8 months ago too.”

Russia didn’t have any tanks in WWI. Well, none that were ever operational.

“If Israel breaks out David’s slingshot, it’s all over.”

England could counter with Excalibur, but some silly git tossed it into a lake last I heard.

Why would they keep old WWII and before, tanks around? Spare parts in good supply? Has Russia shut down their military-based plants for hardware and ammo?

That’s a ballista. A trebuchet is counterweight catapult.

Where’s the vaunted T-14 Armada? What about the Su-57? What’s Russia saving them for?

I would not want a group of tanks coming toward me - whatever their age. And “started producing in 1947” does not mean they are all made in 1947 or have all been in mothballs since that time.

That didn’t take long. I thought of the same thing when I first read the headline, but just knew someone else had the same thought.

The Russians have very few operational SU-57s. A number of them have been shot down over Ukraine.

I wasn’t aware of any Su-57 being shot down.

Had to look that up...

kacap m pers (feminine kacapka) 1. (derogatory, ethnic slur) Russki 2. (derogatory) narrow-mindedperson

Another etymology is from цап (cap, “billy goat”) with a prefix ка- (ka-). Likening a stereotypically bearded Russian man to a goat. An alleged folk etymology …

That’s not a trebuchet...
And the soldiers look more Persian. Or Greek.

That’s that tank that was built like a tricycle but still could clear a trench.
It may still be stuck somewhere near Leningrad’s marshes.
