Hunter Xiden’s lawyers probably figure that there’s nothing to lose by the “best defense is a good offense” strategy. Xiden’s story has changed a few times since the NY Post broke the story and they know the jig is up. Sure Xiden, play this card so that EVERYTHING can be put on the table. When that happens, you lose.
Here in the post-Constitution era of the USA, the judge will simply disallow any evidence that supports Stone's position or shows hunter in a bad light, while allowing past traffic tickets and incidents of detention that Stone had in grammar school to be entered as evidence of his bad character.
The Republic no longer is.
