Gas stoves last a long time and they can be repaired. Next will there be more regulations prohibiting gas connections in new homes? Or govt subsidies for all electric?

California is already regulating (out) gas line hookups for “new construction” permits. Coming soon: New regulations for “upgrading (replacing) existing gas appliances: This is the same pattern done in plumbing and electrical meters. MANDATE “’new features” (like remote metering or remote On/Off “to prevent fires and reduce midday electrical usage”) then fore changes when an old heater is replaced.

New water heater? Need a new over pressure valve. New water heater leak basin. New vent run outside. Revised electrical hookups per “new code”!
