Donald Trump Campaigns in Iowa: I Am the Only Candidate Who Can ‘Prevent WWIII’

Former President Donald Trump told Iowans Monday night that he is the only candidate who could “prevent World War III” as the war between Russia and Ukraine rages on.

“Standing before you today, I am the only candidate who can make this promise: I will prevent World War III,” he said, speaking in Davenport.

Trump pledged to have a deal reached between Russia and Ukraine as president-elect before his term even starts if he wins in 2024.

“Before I arrive at the Oval Office, shortly after I win the presidency, I will have the disastrous war between Russia and Ukraine settled,” he vowed. “It would take 24 hours if it’s not done before then.”

He added that he believes the war would never have occurred if he were in the Oval Office. In Trump’s eyes, the Biden Administration’s disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, which resulted in the deaths of 13 American servicemembers, showed weakness to Russian President Vladamir Putin and marked an opening for him to invade Ukraine .

“When Putin looked at that, he said, ‘This is my chance. These people are incompetent. This is my chance,'” the 45th president said.

In his view, the Biden Administration could catapult America into a third world war:

But with this Administration, you could end up in World War III because they don’t speak right, they don’t send the messages out right. They act tough when they should act nice, they act nice when they should act tough. Honestly, they don’t know what the hell they’re doing. We’re going to end up in a world war over this stuff.

Trump: “We stand up to the RINOS, communists, and the anti-energy extremists.” pic.twitter.com/5WcGbm88mG

— The Post Millennial (@TPostMillennial) March 13, 2023

He said:

We stand up to the globalists; we stand up to the Marxists. Remember I said we would never have socialism? That train left socialism a long time ago, never even stopped at the station. We stand up to the crooked Democrat prosecutors all over the country… Nobody’s ever weaponized like this group of people. They’re maniacs. We stand up to the RINOs, Communists, and the anti-energy extremists. We stand up to the open-borders fanatics, and the pro-china special interests, and the fake news media of which we have quite a bit of right here. We put workers first. We put farmers first, and above all, we put America first.

Trump remains the front-runner in the Republican primary field. A Morning Consult poll released Tuesday shows Trump leading his next closest potential competitor, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), by 24 percentage points in a crowded field. Thus far, only former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy have joined Trump as candidates in the GOP primary field.

The survey was conducted from March 10-12 and sampled 3,556 potential GOP primary voters. The margin of error is plus or minus two percentage points.

He’s there bragging about supporting ethanol subsidies, and dissing on DeSantis for NOT supporting them.

Ethanol susidies = upper midwest grifting the entire USA - while ruining our cars.

Can’t prove it and it doesn’t cost him anything.

DeSantis said stay out of Ukraine, not our interests. Doesn’t cost him anything either.

Ah, but it’s okay to fight for the wrong things as long as you are “fighting.” You also have a “magina” if you don’t like parroting the Dems’ Mediscare talking points as well.

I no longer trust polls. Trump looks decently ahead there,
but he has notoriously been gamed on polls, and it didn’t
seem to matter who ran them.

Although pragmatically, I’ll take the ethanol subsidies all day long as long as he continued to appoint (mostly) good judges like he did before. So no question he’d have my vote if he is the nominee in the November 2024 election.

WWIII is a problem. And having the country overthrown by Marxists and their tools is a problem.

I think Trump is the only one who can fight them both.

I think we’d all vote for him again if he were the nominee. I may vote for him, again, in the primary... despite DeSantis being my governor. An amazing one at that.

My vote for Trump over DeSantis however is NOT assured. Him bragging about supporting stupid $**t like ethanol subsidies just makes me like him that much less.

There is way too many dollars for democrats to milk off the war machine to stop it. The democrats will assassinate anybody who tries to stop it and if they can’t do that, then they will simply release a bioweapon virus or two

I think Trumps probably right.

A murderer, killer, souless, child killing bastard like Li Jing Ping or Vladimir Putin is just going to laugh at a silly little waif of a woman like Noem or hot pants Haley or lying through her teeth Cheney.

Trumps a Billionaire. Commies respect em offstage.

"I Am the Only Candidate Who Can ‘Prevent WWIII’"

DJT is being tongue-n-cheek a bit here, as I see this as both a COMM and literally true, for reasons that gets me pounced on.

I wish the reporter would tell us if Trump said anything about preventing WW3. I scanned the post, and didn’t see any reference.

There was a recent poll in Florida that had DeSantis ahead of Trump by 41 points in Florida. So yes, I don’t think much of polls either.

I’m not trying to rain on Ron’s parade. I think folks can
get caught up in supporting a guy they really like, and I
can see reasons for liking him especially the people down
in Florida.

If Ron were to run, I think we may see a repeat of the 2016
election, where Ron would win the Caucuses and Trump would
win the primaries.

It’s still early and things may change.

We know this is true partly because he would be the only one with the autonomy necessary to do it. There are very powerful elements within our own government that want war with Russia. Trump doesn’t take orders from them but everybody else would. Pence, Pompeo, Halley, even DeSantis would never buck the system. They will do exactly as they are told just as Biden has.
