Henceforth, the work week shall be known as the “feckless, torpid, slacker week.”

At our shop in Santa Fe Springs, we have more overtime than guys to work it. We have had the “Help Wanted” sign out for a year. No takers.

This new law will be just great...

Our godlike government can mandate anything. So let it be written. So let it be done.

Sounds like a decent way to crush US GDP by 20% or so.

Life is great. The economy is great. There no other problems of higher priority than the number of hours in a work week.

Since the NEA is pushing for a 4 day school week at least a 4 day work week would give parents a break on child care if they wished to stay home.

I love overtime. My boss knows to immediately call me when it is available.

This should drive hundreds if not thousands of businesses out of business.

They want the 32 hour worker to get the same pay as they did working 40
hours per week. Employer wage costs would go up 20% across the board.

Contrary to their testing, I do not see people putting out 40 hours of
product in 32 hours, and the service industry needs to be fully staffed
for the five to seven days per week they are open.

I see legislators who have never worked an hour in the private sector
buying in on this.

For a while I worked one place at 10 hour days, four days a week. I thought it was nice to have a 3 day weekend.

Yes. That’s it! A 1-day work week at $300 an hour!

And everyone who was formerly an employee becomes a contract worker and starts working 12 hours a day, seven days a week.

Early in my career I worked plenty of 70+ hour weeks. You get used to it quickly.

Anyone who starts his own business will tell you that you work all the time. So what?
