Mike, I think you are great, but DeSantis is not a Trojan Horse.
He may be a spoiler, but he’s a legitimately reasonable Republican, but he seems too close to ¡Jeb! and a few others I don’t trust.
Jeb came with many of self-disqualifying faults, open borders chief among them. He was never going to win the nom.
Trump, so very unnecessarily, chose to make political enemies of the Bushes by foolish name calling of Jeb. (easy to look up.)
The Bushes, one suspects, are representative of a larger faction of potential GOP voters who hate Trump so much that they would never consider supporting, even though they have many beliefs in common. (Not me, btw, I'll vote for him if he's the nom.)
Most important is the notion that any candidate for POTUS will have supporters who do not completely reflect the candidate's platform or beliefs. IIRC it was Reagan who said (paraphrasing) that it's fine that anyone supports him, however that does not mean that I agree with them.
