Yes. The stories I see on reddit are hair-raising.
That would be a son-in-law's sister. She never wanted kids of her own, even to this day (she's 48 now). I don't mind, as she's rich and showers my grandchildren (her nieces) with gifts. I don't get how anyone would not want kids, particularly a woman. But she's a career lawyer dedicated to her profession. And the only female among 5 kids having 4 brothers who have kids.

Rachel Levine, the openly transgender Secretary of Health not wanting children asked to be sterilized so she could not get pregnant. The doctor was somewhat flummoxed and confused and finally said, "well what parts do you want me to cut off so you can not get pregnant and you can not get pregnant anyway because you are a man. When offered a penile removal along with testes "she" declined. The Doc did mentioned she had a fine set of boobs and since they are for lactation and feeding a newborn does she want them cut off?
"She" declined the option for personal reasons that were not discussed.
In great frustration the doc said, "well what the hell do you want cut off or just a new prescription for estrogen, get the hell out of my office."
The American Medical Association is now investigating the doctor.
Sometimes sarcasm is close to truth. All of this was political sarcasm.

It sounds like you assume that the childless women are single. There are couples where both husband and wife choose to not have children. (We do enjoy our cats; our wine is in bottles.)
