Russia is in need of nothing- self sufficient. Their 11 time zones encompass vast reserves of every commodity, food, grain, water, oil, gas, uranium, metals… in short, everything the collective West needs.

But too many old people and not enough young people to harvest the commodities. Thus the Ukraine move.

And didn’t Biden and Co. say they support “sovereignty”?

"we have a real problem here. They cannot continue to issue this kind of debt in perpetuity"

Sure they can, as long as everyone else is doing the same thing. China is worse than the US, Europe as a whole just as bad. No political elite will go back to gold precisely because it limits their ability to control and profit from the economy.

More likely too much corruption and too much capital controlled by oligarchs and a Third World infrastructure. Russia is Nigeria with nukes.

If you still believe the US government you are a part of the problem, not the solution.

The bankers and elites have screwed the entire world up with one dumb ass decision after another for thirty-five years. They have got nothing right and made things worse. The monetary system is collapsing, economies are collapsing, western civilization which brought us the modern world is loathed and intentionally being destroyed and progressive policies by the left and the Republicans who are liberals on the cheap have brought society to a point of collapse.

The last tired gamble by the deep state, elites, bankers and politicians is another world war, except this time the major players all have nuclear weapons. They have some choice before them, total collapse or total collapse with the vain hope another war might save them for a small period of time even if it means the possible destruction of humanity. They are so arrogant they think they can survive a nuclear holocaust. There are no adults left in charge especially in the west.

It's not so one sided. Russia can't allow Ukraine to be a nato proxy on its border. We wouldn't allow Russia to make Mexico its proxy. I don't think there would be a war if nato didn't keep pushing east to Russia's border. The fools running our country can't be trusted not to start WWIII.

The utility of currency, even fiat currency, is too high for it to be abandoned. That can only happen if someone backs a currency with specie. The value may be eroded away by inflation, but probably not hyperinflation as long as all the fiat currencies inflate at a similar rate.

People who print money find it hard to stop.

Remember that printing money is stealing money from people and giving it to the government. I think they won’t be able to continue because they will print too much or the impoverishment will cause reactions from people. I don’t know when. In the U.S., the legitimacy of government is being reduced rapidly.

Ukraine had no interest in NATO, until Russia started carving off chunks of its territory!

Yeah right, all Ukrainian men from 18-60 have been decimated, demographics show only 18-19 million left in the country compared to 39 million pre war….they are screwed for at least a decade plus.Depopulated, deindustrialized, deenergized, infrastructure destroyed, I guess you would say they are winning.

Facts relating to someone’s credibility aren’t ad hominem personal attacks. If we are supposed to take Armstrong’s opinion more seriously than anyone else’s, surely the fact that he defrauded clients is relevant. We’re all familiar with people who make extreme predictions because they want to sell us something, and he looks like one of those people.

People will differ about whether Biden does something because he’s stupid and incompetent or because he has some ulterior motive or secret plan. Anderson’s theory is too far-fetched, though. Defaulting would create too much of backlash against Biden and whoever is backing him.

I don’t agree with you saying that Trump policies are Euro Trash.

I actually supported his decision to send massive shiploads of high-tech American weaponry to Ukraine.

I also supported his massacre of Wagner troops in Syria.

I supported him expelling dozens of Russian representatives conspiring against America within our borders.

Yes I also supported the many sanctions Trump imposed on Russia.

Do I really have to remind you that Russia China, Iran are our enemies?

You don’t support the Trump policies I mentioned above?

There are many enemies in the world.
We don’t have the luxury and the privilege to have only ONE single enemy, obviously.
There are nut cases in Washington, CRT in a our schools, criminals roaming our cities, Soviet KGB people fomenting against American interests, China, Cuba, Islamic Iran... etc.. etc....
