It is possible that Germany had legitimate grievances post WWI and that Hitler was a bad actor... they don’t necessarily exclude each other. It’s entirely possible that Russian populations are vulnerable outside the protection of Russia and also that Putin is too authoritarian... they don’t exclude each other.
