More needs to be revealed, but there are several reports out there that O'Keefe had a bit of a personality problem with lower-level employees. The reports are saying that he was very difficult to work with, overly demanding and demeaning of subordinates, and a bit high maintenance.
Not saying this is all true, but it's been out there. O'Keefe has been said to be a sort of the Don Lemon of Veritas...

Ah! That’s it. I was going by memory as to the exact wording. It’s a template they apply time and time again and conservatives fall for it almost each and every time.

Nope. There's no doubt O'Keefe has had a target on his back from the left -- who are absolutely rolling on the floor with glee right now. As I mentioned in my post, more needs to be learned and I wasn't saying any of it was true (something at least one other poster didn't seem to read), but it's entirely plausible that O'Keefe took the Trump route and gave his critics an easy path to destroy him.
Again though, more needs to be discovered to better understand how this went down...

This was one of the two original names of the British North American colony Ben Franklin was heard to describe as “a keg tapped at both ends.” O’Keefe is originally from that fine place.
It also refers to the victorious military leader the Roman Senate feared would be too powerful, and, as a consequence, brutally turned on and killed. (O’Keefe having just experienced remarkably similar treatment.)
