Opposition leader Yair Lapid warned Sunday morning that Israel is "losing the US" as a result of the government's actions.
"The Americans talk to me all the time and they are horrified by what is happening," Lapid said in an interview with Kan Reshet Bet.
He dismissed claims that the US is interfering in Israel's internal affairs, saying: "We ask the US to interfere [in our affairs] every day, from aid to funding the Iron Dome. The Americans say clearly that our alliance is based on our shared democratic values, and if you don't maintain them, then the alliance will end."
Lapid also reiterated his demand that the coalition halt the legislation on Justice Minister Yariv Levin's judicial reforms as a precondition for entering into negotiations on the reforms, saying: "We won't negotiate with a gun to our head."

While it is certainly correct that the Nazis have reasserted themselves in Washington DC with enemies of both USA and Israel working very hard to undermine both nations, Jerusalem has certainly not lost the American prople’s support. Not by a king shot. And frankly the enrmy statements ;Blinken, Nides, anonymous Snske Dept statements, etc) are all bull sheit and every sentient being recognized this. Lalid, on the other hand, gad proven himself to ge a persistent and determined Enemy Within the Jewish people. It will be best when his inane statements are confined with him in a secure prison.
There is some code going on here. The US he is talking about isn’t the US, the nation, but the US liberal establishment and the subculture they come from. And this subculture includes the majority of US Jews.
Realistically, that part of the US is what matters to Israel, as they create policy with respect to Israel. The rest of the US doesn’t matter as far as being the gatekeepers of financial and diplomatic support.

When SCOTUS overturned Roe, Israel was very vocal. They apparently prize abortion very highly there, which was news to me. Apparently, even over their relationship with America. I was deeply offended and shocked by their reaction. I don’t look at Israel the same way anymore.

The Americans Lapid is talking to are likely those who think Palestinians are enslaved and cheer when rockets are fired from Gaza, and support our dollars being used to pay bounty for Jewish lives.
Israeli politics is kind of baffling.
A lot like the Untied States has been lately.
The US abandoning Israel would certainly give support to those interpretations of the Bible that say the U.S. isn’t mentioned in the end times prophecy . . . cuz we wouldn’t be involved with Israel in any way in this scenario.
The US is headed for a Civil War and breakup. Just a matter of time.
