I wonder if giving children tylenol instead of aspirin for fever might also pla a role. Doctors started recommending against aspirin for children in the 80s because of the link to Reye’s syndrome, which is a rare but nasty event following viral infection, a third dead, a third seriously damaged.

Acetaminophen/Tylenol can cause grown adults to pass out flat on the floor. No telling what it does to children and fetuses.
