View comments A Russian frigate carrying 'unstoppable' Mach 9 nuclear-capable hypersonic cruise missiles has deviated from its course and is sailing towards the US coast, reports have claimed.
The Admiral Gorshkov, armed with Zircon missiles which Vladimir Putin boasts has 'no equivalent in the world', is being closely monitored by NATO navies during its maiden voyage.
Earlier this month, the frigate was escorted through British waters by the Royal Navy, and French and Spanish ships then escorted it through the Atlantic.
It was scheduled to head south past South Africa to the Indian Ocean then enter the Mediterranean Sea through the Suez Canal.
But monitoring sites claim it took a sudden diversion and headed west towards Bermuda.
An unconfirmed Russian Telegram channel report says the warship was 'spotted on radar in neutral waters of the Atlantic Ocean - at an effective salvo launch distance from the US coast'.
The Russian defence ministry has not commented on the Navodka channel claim...

The Russsians would never see it coming. Before
Before this is over, missiles will be back in Cuba .
So it would be an unprovoked attack on the Russian ship? Or a pre-emptive attack?
“Before this is over, missiles will be back in Cuba”.
I agree. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
My cards say Russia will launch the Big invasion Friday in Ukraine. This ship is to monitor and launch if the USA does something stupid like a First Strike. Russia will take out our eyes in the sky, blitz the electrotonic net and send in their armor. We may well be at war by Monday. Another “Day of Infamy” speech by Biden and all things will change forever. Yeah, we could sink this frigate—But the moment she rolls over, the Russian subs will launch what they have. Even one sub could deal a crippling blow.
I hope it parks off the shore of Delaware.
“”I agree. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.””
It sounds like you think that is fine.

The belgorod sub is all they need for one of the coasts.
A super weapon we cannot touch.
I am trying to get those supplies on the WHO Nuke preparation list. I look at iodine on Amazon to purchase and am clueless.
We have no idea which one to buy...is this something you know anything about?
A great many Americans on various private lists I belong to, of scientific persuasion and hobbies both, think nuclear war is imminent.
You have no idea the places i go on the internet, for example.
We will escalate, Putin will respond.
Too much to explain right now...

The only way to track this is satellite. Its been sitting in the Atlantic off the east coast for a few weeks now.
The map shows the Russian vessels passing through the English Channel - I am supposing that that is what they mean by "British waters," though they are actually also French waters.
I am aware that there are international conventions regarding the passage of foreign vessels through such narrows (e.g., the Bosporus, which is held by Turkey) - but I also know that those conventions do not provide unlimited access.
Can anyone enlighten me about the passage of NUCLEAR-armed vessels through such territorial waters? Specifically: Are there any restrictions?
Thanks!
Regards,
The Admiral Gorshkov is being shadowed by a slightly faster (and very recently upgraded) Portuguese frigate. We have attack subs, too, of course.
It needs less to fire missiles.
The fact that the electricity bites in the socket is bad news for the idiot.
It doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be said to him.
A dollar to a donut there is one of our attack submarines shadowing this ship all of the way.
Would be a shame if that ship had an “accidental” on-board fire.
Sounds like video games.
My side is America under its constitution. It’s becoming a fiction. What’s your side - some sort of forever war Orwellian monster?
