Interview of Mike Pompeo on wide range of issues
I know some here and certainly some in the media have suggested that Mike Pompeo was a backstabber, etc, of Trump. I think much of this is media generated and some of it is clickbait nonsense that we seem to drown in (me too). A lot of people (in and out of MAGA) are trying to create fights where they don't or they should not exist.
He certainly does not come across as "anti-Trump". I have not read his book but I might because he seems to be pretty pragmatic about the world and condition of our nation.
He says many things that I think all of us agree with, states emphatically that China murdered people with Covid, he covers Ukraine a bit, and he was generally complimentary of Trump. His assessment of how DC handicapped the administration at the outset (failure to confirm nominees) was quite accurate.
I especially like what he said about China and the UN/WHO/etc. Pompeo is a China hawk and I wish there had been more about China.
Another 1% potential 2024 POTUS contender.
He can’t win, the only reason for him attempting is to garner some personal riches.

I’m okay with Pompeo. He has deep state vibes but genuinely loves America. Could have done more to clean out the filth in the state dept.
He personally made a trip from the CIA to the oval office and persuaded Trump not to release certain JFK assassination files.
Pompeo is extremely honorable and would be a great president.

Like I said, I’m lukewarm on the guy. Happy to hear he if he did good crap and can trash him too. He’s basically an NPC as far as I’m concerned.
Who knows what was in that JFK stuff. I always thought it was the mob, now we know it was an inside job.
Crazy that a guy with his resume is a non starter for so many people. More people give a crap that he lost 100lbs than he was a pretty good Sec of State. He did work Trump’s agenda well.
Good soldier in that respect.
In the Army (5 years) far longer then he was at the CIA (1 year).

If something happens to Trump others need to be ready.
Graduated number 1 from West Point. Would expect Patton not a weak pol.
DeSantis would make a good VP...and future President. He's 10 years younger than Pompeo.
Certainly nothing against Trump...but he had his moment. He's old, over weight, on meds...
He can love his country by passing the torch and going home to his lovely wife and son.

Look, if you want this guy there will be a primary and you or anyone else that likes him is free to vote for him.
I will not whether you think it is dumb or not. Insulting people won’t make him more popular to anyone.
My vote is for Trump.
No problem with DeSantis or Pompeo.
