Bingo. This is absolutely appalling: “If you think about the study of black Americans...” I have NEVER in my life thought about the “study” of black, white, yellow, red, brown or green Americans. I thought about the study of America and the people who made it.
Why would we “think about the study of black Americans”? THAT is what is incomprehensible.
