“””The only reason Democraps want to overturn Citizens United is that Republicans have lots of rich, wealthy people to help them win elections.”””

Years ago the corporate executives were major contributors to the GOP.

In recent years after Citizens United, that has reversed and corporations have become major contributors to the Democrats.

So I am not sure why the Democrats would want to cut off their money supply.

“would also allow states to set up public campaign financing systems that could restrict the influence of private wealth.”

If I had more closely read the article, I see the Democrats want the taxpayers to fund political campaigns.

That is a non-starter.

This is pure virtue signaling - they know it will never get the required 2/3 in the House and Senate (if it even gets a vote) and it certainly won't get the 3/4 of the states required.
