This article says Damar Hamlin recieved a very severe hit. Did they watch the replay? I don’t see if severe hit. In fact, Hamlin was the one who hit Higgins, nit the other way around.

It was a hard hit that he gave and it hit his chest right in the chest protector that is made to distribute the force. One of hundreds that weekend in all the NFL games. It was not a severe hit.

It didn't knock the wind out of him...he popped right up..but then fell like a ton of rocks.

He staggered slightly though...and it may been in that miniscule time period that his heart stopped...almost like going into shock.///almost like a delayed reaction to the hit.
