I understand your point but it is not completely valid.

With regard to trucks, Ford is counting on a major plan for an electric truck that will serve those who actually need and use pickups as working tools. Ford is planning on making an electric F150

Tesla has designed a pickup from scratch as a working truck. The work concept includes features that make it a better work vehicle. It is not intended for everyone. It is intended for those needing a working truck. In spite of some limitations, the Tesla truck will be superior simply because it is better.

I am not a fan of electric vehicles and certainly have no intention of acquiring one. But in Tesla, I see major disruption to existing vehicle markets coming this year as the products come off the production lines by the tens of thousands.

The coming of electric semi’s is a similarly done from absolute scratch design that is going to be interesting as well. It ain’t your daddy’s Pete any more

The Electric F-150 is an EXPENSIVE joke!! It has no range and when using the heater/AC and pulling a trailer the range is around 100 miles. Nobody wants one.

The max GVW of a semi is 80,000#. The last I heard the battery pack alone will weigh in excess of 20,000#. It is not going to work.
