A Minnesota police chief was forced to apologize for posting an image of a 'thin blue line' flag to his department's Facebook page last week, after community members aired complaints labeling the symbol a representation of 'extremist views.'
The flag, a black and white rendition of the American flag with a blue stripe running just under the stars, represents men and women in blue standing as a line between law and order.
However, more recently, the symbol has been deemed divisive by some, as its meaning has shifted from one of nonpartisan support to one synonymous with the far-right

At the same time, those woke complainers love flying the offensive homo flag, everywhere and in your face.
What a coward.
“its meaning has shifted from one of nonpartisan support to one synonymous with the far-right”
We have got to stop letting them get away with this communist tactic.
I’m willing to bet it was a coordinated attack, and that most of the comments were either bots told by some “influencer” to call and post.
Exactly. Instead of say, explaining why, he folded. This tells me, and should tell any of his officers, that he will gladly throw them under the bus to make things easier for him. If I were in their shoes, I would begin immediately looking for a new agency to work for, or simply retiring, if close to that age.
It’s always a wild mixture of emotions, watching white liberals lecture black people about racism.
Stop kneeling to the mob. It won’t make them stop.
I have a red white and blue ALL LIVES MATTER sticker on my truck , which ive been told is racist.
“..could be deemed offensive.”
That also applies to cotton balls, asphalt, bubble gum, plywood, and on and on.
Grow some balls chief, and defend your troops!
Everybody in Minnesota should post the thin blue line in solidarity with the police.
That’s exactly what I said. The officers of his department should take notes and realize he will gladly throw them under the bus to avoid controversy, even if they did nothing wrong and were justified, just because someone got offended.
Begin, looking at other agencies that are hiring, consider retirement if they are getting up there in age, but most importantly, how do you make that decision, just lay low, keep your blinders on, and simply ignore things that you can/when possible to avoid any possible interaction with the public.
I just can’t. J6 confirmed what we already knew. PD is a militarized posse commitatus work around. They have fully automatic weapons and attack helicopters. They are an unauthorized standing army inside our borders. They are nationally organized by a union that is not your friend.
Pathetic.
Is Golden Valley basically just an exurb of Minneapolis?
If so, nuff said.
I am very proud of my towns police chief. Back in probably June 2020 or so. They had a small BLM protest on the town green, maybe 2 miles from the police station at some point, they decided to March to the police station.
First of all, it was about 90° out, and these idiots never plans to bring water or how to get back in the scorching heat. Then, when they finally got there, of course, the police are marching the protest, and knew they were coming, the chief, a couple other high-ranking officers, and may be three or four officers in their patrol uniform, came out informed the line in front of the department.
They stood there, while getting yelled and screamed at by the angry mob for a few minutes before they demanded they kneel for them. He immediately said under no circumstances will that happen, however, he understands some of their concerns, and would gladly discuss them, then offered to say a prayer with them.
As you can imagine, that didn’t go over too well with said, angry mob, lots of profanity was heard, and they quickly realize they weren’t gonna get anywhere, then begs the police to give them rides back to their cars due to the extreme weather and their lack of preparedness. The chief as officers simply went back inside and lock the front door.
“the symbol has been deemed divisive by some”, but the crap they subject us to is ok and we need to eat it and smile....FU THE PUSHBACK HAS BEGUN
Exactly. His officers need to know/now realize, that he will throw them under the bus to if someone gets offended, even if they followed every rule, policy, and law. He’s a coward.
Check out my post, I believe #16, chief handled an angry BLM mob in 2020 outside the station who demanded the chief and officers kneel for them. Was a perfect example of how you handle these children. Don’t give them the satisfaction, then just ignore them until they choose to act like adults.
Why are people apologizing for not doing anything wrong?
Cowardice, plain and simple.
