I always used to get off on MLK Day, but now that I’m retired it no longer gets me very excited.
Same here. I’ve been retired for 10 years, since I was 58.
Nobody shuts down or gets off from work here unless they work for a company that has government contracts or is black owned. My former employer had government contracts and had to observe it.
We consider it a fake holiday here that was created to make a certain group happy and nothing more.
