"As earlier, maybe 10% care any more? At least it appears that way."
I respectfully disagree that few patriots care anymore.
Respectfully to Freeper parents, please consider the following.
As a consequence of parents not making sure that their children are being taught about the federal government's constitutionally limited powers as the delegates to the Constitutional Convention had intended for those power to be understood, regardless that patriots voters are very concerned about the unconstitutionally big federal government, it remains that they don't know the first step to take to peacefully but the big, bad federal government back into its constitutionally limited power "cage."
“3. The Constitution was written to be understood by the voters; its words and phrases were used in their normal and ordinary as distinguished from technical meaning; where the intention is clear, there is no room for construction and no excuse for interpolation or addition.” —United States v. Sprague, 1931.
“Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves [emphasis added]. It seems to be the law of our general nature.” - Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)
In fact, I suggest that patriots start making noise about ALL the states effectively "seceding" from the unconstitutionally big federal government by working with their MAGA state lawmakers to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments (16&17A).
If the repeal 16&17A amendment were strictly limited to that purpose, then relatively little, or ideally no discussion would be needed before ratification imo.
Limited powers? You must have forgot the branDUHn reminder that those pesky rights aren’t absolute. Hmmmm. Does that include the 13th and 19th amendments joementia? Civics class is gone.
