Sudden Surge In Russian Navy Ships And Submarines In Black Sea
Naval News ^ | 01/11/23

This morning Russian Navy ships and submarines left their base at Novorossiysk, in the Black Sea, en-masse. This is highly unusual and may indicate ongoing operations.

Sources seen by Naval News confirm the exodus. The group included the Project 11711 Ivan Gren class landing ship, Pyotr Morgunov, the largest amphibious ship in the Black Sea.

It also contained all three Project 636.3 Improved-Kilo class submarines which were present at the base. Analysis suggests that other warships were also sailing, leaving only a few warships and support vessels in the port. It is likely the most empty that Novorossiysk has been in many months.

Gee, it would be a real shame if some of those Harpoons the Brits donated happened to find a target. Real shame.

There’s a canal from the Caspian to the Black Sea. Otherwise how’d they get there?

Naw, the Russians wouldn’t shoot back. They’d just sit there like ducks in a pond.

“Naw, the Russians wouldn’t shoot back.”

That’s not really much of a threat when they have already been carpet bombing the country for months.

The Russians are on their way to Transnistria. That’s phase II. It’s awful close to NATO borders. Not sure that it would be a great idea.

the mass sailing is either an offensive maneuver or a defensive maneuver.

Offensively they could be sailing closer to ukraine to let off a bunch of cruise missles.

Or they could be afraid their ships are coming in range of uke missles. So they’re sailing their ships further afield.

More information needed as to the direction of the ships from their base.

They’re either going to deploy for some sort of action or they are getting out of Dodge. I doubt it’s a show of force just for the sake of it.
