“The Biden administration finally owned up to what we have known all along,” Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) said Thursday, commenting on a new Energy Department report quantifying how President Joe Biden’s cancelation of the Keystone XL pipeline has hurt Americans and the U.S. economy.

Titled “Keystone XL Extension Permit Revocation: Energy Costs and Job Impacts,” the report fulfills a requirement successfully included in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act by Sen. Daines and Sen. Jim Risch (R-Idaho).

“This report responds to section 40434(b) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (Pub. L. No. 117-58), that requires the Secretary of Energy to estimate the job losses and consumer impacts associated with the revocation of the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline,” the report notes.

Studies cited by the Energy Department report reveal that Pres. Biden’s cancelation of the construction of the Keystone pipeline had the following negative impact:

Up to 59,468 jobs lost per year, Up to $9.6 billion of lost GDP (2011 dollars), Up to $20.93 billion of lost business sales (2011 dollars), Up to $6.5 billion of lost personal income (current dollars), and Up to 54,651 personal income lost annually per job

"Election fraud has consequences."

Unpunished election fraud has consequences. Argue all you want, but the people let this happen.

“Keystone” costs us far more than that. The true cost is incalculable because overnight it turned the energy market over to our enemies. The cost of energy is found is everything (even inflation).

People specifically look at the “project” and projections of revenue and supply, but it was the message that was sent throughout the entire energy market of the world that will be measured in hundreds of billions (if not Trillion +) over the next 10 years alone.

This was a catastrophic mistake and it sent a message throughout the industry that other projects or new production/refining was a very risky venture so the “loss” of energy is far bigger than this single project.

All of these BS political moves have a real cost, may it be the pipeline, climate change, ozone hole, making diesel super clean...

People often like to claim, “we are creating green jobs!”

What they do not realize are state, is that they might have saved or created 1,000 green jobs, but at the expense of 5,000 economically viable jobs that would actually be doing something productive based on market demand, vs. a political/regulatory decision.

All of this is because you have government with their fingers in everything. Of course government is a political apparatus, so all these decisions are political in nature vs. a free market and consumers shaping it.

I don’t see Joey Crappy Pants doing ANYTHING to reverse that STUPID DECISION.

The report could have said 200,000 jobs and $500 Billion and Joey still wouldn’t reverse.

FJB and his entire administration of perverts!!!

I would like to know how the people “let this happen”. What is the mechanism to punish this fraud legally and peacefully? Only an armed revolt would do anything about it.
