Coyotes taking rich liberals’ fancy pets, calling on government to fix it for them.

Woe are they.

Eastern coyotes aren’t the same as western coyotes. They’re a mix of coyote and wolf and are indigenous to the east. One report I read said that the original cross occured in eastern Canada close to a hundred years ago. They could be a new species for genus Canis.
The ones I’ve seen in PA are around 50 lbs. And yeah, they’re dangerous. I agree with the regs in PA. They can be shot year round.

Hey we started to have a Coyote Problem in Rock Creek Park in DC. I think they mauled a couple of toy dogs belonging to Ward 3 elitists. The Coyote problem was then swiftly dealt with.

5.56mm NATO— when you care enough to send the best.

(have to admit, the Ruger 10/22 in WMR is a handy little carbine)

I live in south central NH west of Nashua.
There are coyotes all around here.
Coyotes and Fishers have made it so you can not let house cats out at night.

Over a span of 10 years we lost three cats at our former house. I actually heard one get killed on an August night when we had the windows open. The other two just disappeared.

Deer and coyotes are all over the islands in Casco Bay, ME just off the city of Portland. The deer are so bad on some of those islands that people have to fence off their yards if they want to have any plantings.

The problem is the houses are very close together. So, the only hunting on the islands are archery.

In Alabama, people can hunt coyotes all year long without limit on private lands. They can also hunt them on most public lands in conjunction with other open seasons. Landowners can apply for wildlife control permits that allow them to shoot coyotes at night.

Indeed. I live in Quincy and I see them all the time. I walked out my house last week and right across the street was a coyote standing in the lot where theyre building a home ,staring at me and my kids lol. I see them roaming the main streets during daytime. I will say it seems like theres an overabundance of turkeys and rabbit, more than Ive ever seen.

When I was a kid we called them “coy-dogs.”

Our housing is too close to shoot them with a rifle. But pellet guns would scare them off a bit.

We are lousy with them in Georgia. The Atlanta suburbs have them everywhere. They come through our yard at night all the time. You cannot leave small dogs and cats outside.

I remember the stories about rich, liberal towns in Massachusetts and Connecticut hiring animal control specialists, at great expense, to trap deer and release them in rural areas rather than shoot them. And some residents would go to great lengths to feed them. I wonder if they’ll do the same with the coyotes.

Yeah, plinking coyotes is frowned upon in suburban Atlanta.

And there aren’t that many out there - but they are there, based on the frequency of “OMG, my cat disappeared! Help find my cat!” posters.

I actually saw one up close 3 doors down in the middle of the day about 8-9 years ago. And I’ve seen them crossing the road in the distance a few times since.

They’re thick around here. And they get pretty big. I have pictures of one strolling down the middle of the block in our suburban community. It was about 40-45 pounds.

And they have absolutely no fear of man anymore. A friend of ours had their dog taken 5 feet from them in their backyard. A lady across the street had one yank her kids lunch right out of his hand while he was waiting for the school bus one morning.
