I did it for 29 years without the help of drugs. I will say that parents were more impressed with my work after they hosted a party for their son or daughter and say a dozen their friends. I often had 30 in class all day.

But to your point—middle school is not easy on anyone; kids, teachers, or their parents.

Worst years of my life were grades 6-8. It didn’t help that I went to four different schools and three moves from grades 6-9.

Brookline MA has k through 8 in the same schools….no separate middle schools.
