It's a pretty red state, we just have a giant blue despicable dot on the map like many other states, this one is known as Detroit and why we can't have nice things. (from 2020) Ann Arbor and Flint aren't helping either.  It's a Stage Four cancer sadly.

Michigan is almost, but not quite, like Illinois. Dominated by one large, liberal city with people used to depending on government handouts, and with a sense of entitlement to anything they want. But that city gets smaller with every census.

It’s more surprising that a good (albeit inching ever leftward) place like Ottawa County ever had woke idiots in positions of power to begin with.

But as is obvious pretty much everywhere, just because an area is “Republican” definitely does NOT imply that it is also conservative.
