New footage has been released by the Indiana State Police of US murder suspect Bryan Kohberger being pulled over during a road trip....
...It’s understood the PhD student made the 4000km trip home with his dad by car, and according to his public defender, he was pulled over twice along the way.
Jason LaBar, the Pennsylvania defence lawyer in Mr Kohberger’s extradition case, said the suspect’s dad flew into Spokane, Washington, before driving down to Pullman, Washington, in a pre-planned trip ahead of the holidays.
Pullman sits just over the state border from Idaho – just 15km from Moscow....

It seems a bit odd that Dad flew out to help his 28 year old son drive back to PA. Dad flew to Spokane, sounds like he rented a car, and drove to Pullman to see his son. Then the two of them drove east. Dad must have dropped his rental car off in Pullman.
Pretty sure this was planned, and many in LE discussing this believe it as well.
Sometimes, your own blood is thicker than the spilled blood of other people. Wrong? yes. Often true? yes.
What specifically was planned? Can you be more specific?
blood thirsty media....
The parents could be in on it, or their son conned them as well.
He may have figured he needed to get out of the area without drawing suspicion, so he finished his semester and then called home saying he was going to take a break, put his stuff in storage and drive home and think things through instead of flying home for Christmas.
“You’re going to drive all alone that whole way - in the winter!!?? Dad will go out there and help you drive back.”
“No ma, it’s not a problem - I’ve done it before.”
“Well not during the winter. And I don’t understand this “taking a break” thing, you’ve been doing so well. What’s the matter? And you don’t call anymore that isn’t like you. Dad will come out and help you. Won’t you dad?”
Basically a one-way airline ticket, then a hefty drop-off fee for the rental car.
I’m likely to believe as nutty as the son seems....dad is at the same level.
The Dad looks like a nut
Sounds like his plan was to get the car involved out of town and over to the east coast to hide it
Sam Bankman-Fried is a Jewish Vegan with parents who were in on his scam.
In a partial transcript of one of the police stops, the policeman asks/ jokes about the long drive, & the father mentions the crime near his son’s school... not THE four murders, but some shooting in WA. Seemed odd to me.
His dad was a maintenance guy for a school district.
The dialogue is very believable.
Well, from hearing from former detectives (Try “Police off the cuff” on TY for example), they said that if they got a lead, but not solid proof on the suspect, and learned they would be driving cross country, they could track the car. Having police on their route pull them over for a check would allow the cop, with a body cam to get a visual, verify who was in the car, registration, etc. and just give them a warning, while they still were putting evidence together. Its been done before, so that is they why they suggested it.
