The interesting thing is that Putin wrecked the whole “green” agenda, in Europe anyway. Putin was actually a partner of the Euro greens, as the plan was to replace domestic energy sources in Europe with a mix of “green” and Russian natural gas - hence Nordstream/Nordstream II, which were the particular pet projects of the German SDP.

But now, well, nukes and gas are back, baby.

True, and America has 300 years of coal to burn to make electricity. Just put the most advanced scrubbers on the plants. This is not a big deal.
