Third, they can disable him, make him ineffective, any time they want, should he begin to show signs of actual conservative leaning.

Hmmm, I know they’re now embedding themselves in other positions - for example, they managed to take over the Texas State Board of Education, which is why we never hear about “Textbook Wars” anymore, and they managed to also take control of the Texas Supreme Court, as some of their rulings are right out of the Democrat playbook, despite being 9-0 Republican.
But didn’t know they’re embedding in Congress now...but not surprised.
