Ive heard that in the old days they used to tie a rope between the barn and the house to not get lost in incoming blizzards on the farms.

Seems I saw that on Little House or some TV show. The rope broke on the person.

They definitely did. Mom remembers Grandpa did that on the farm a little south of Buffalo.

I’ve heard of that before, too. No idea if if it’s an urban. Legend, or not, but I do suspect there’s definitely some truth to that.
