In the old days people were more prepared. Always have a backup source for heat during the winter.

Wood stove and two cords of seasoned hardwood stacked outside my back door.... And we live in Texas.

In the old days there were more options.....

Renters can’t put in wood stoves or propane .....if you’re all electric your stuck.
The most you can do is use candles and sterno cups at best.
Otherwise you have to leave.

Exactly. Kerosene or propane heater and some fuel.

In the old days people were more prepared
____________
Yes, they were more prepared because they had more common sense. Today, people are so dumb they have lost all self-preservation instincts.
