“I used to think when people cut me off it was because I was in a fancy car. These days when someone cuts me off, I wonder if it’s because of Elon.”

And this week, Bob Wachter of UCSF announced he would stay on Twitter because he hasn’t yet found “a forum to deliver accurate scientific information to the public that matches Twitter.” But, he added, “I have decided I’ll never buy a Tesla. If many people make that choice, it should send a powerful message.”

But he will still use his Apple iPhone constructed by slave labor in China.

I’m glad Bob announced his intention to stay. I was wondering if he would.

Now, he chooses to stay, but that doesn’t mean Elon won’t show him the door.

Nah. People are cutting you off because of climate change.

So tell me. Is there anything that’s NOT about you and your electric car?

They probably cut him off because he is a pig entitled liberal rich person, who thinks everyone should get out of his way. Just a guess because I never met the man, but I really don’t give a damn whether he stays on Twitter or not. In fact, why doesn’t he just shut the hell up?

Robert Wachter Prof-Hcomp
University of California, 2021 $1,370,394.00

Oh. Never mind

This guy needs to stop thinking so much. He’s letting his imagination run away with him.

The problem with identifying yourself so closely with a high-profile person, at least in Blue States, is the risk that said person may just turn out to be pro-America.

An easy way for these Tesla owners to deal with Musk is to simply drive one of their gasoline cars - you know, the cars they use for long trips, important trips, or during emergencies.

And while they will risk being seen in a gasoline car if they follow my advice, eventually the Musk hatred will die down, and these people can get back to Virtue Signaling.

“A Tesla is a fancy car?”

If your criteria is by cost it is.

IIRC the entry level model is $30k +

“The question is if liberal market interest will erode as a result of Elon Musk’s political engagement, transforming Tesla into a more conservative brand for the conservative market.”

No need to worry about that, no conservative will buy an electric car unless given no other option - which is why they’re in the process of mandating it.

Apple iPhone constructed by slave labor in China.

Foxconn factory iPhone workers are not slaves, and are well paid - such that they work for a few years, go home live like a king/queen for one year, then go back to work. Repeat.

That's the one that looks like it was modeled off the molded plastic/fiberglass kiddie cars at carnivals.

“...the cars they use for long trips, important trips, or during emergencies.”

A story that got very little coverage was after the last Florida hurricane, EVs that got flooded with salt water were catching fire......seems the batteries don’t like sea water......apparently the engineering dept. missed allowing for a contingency plan to cover that little scenario.

Also, all these lefties that dropped big bucks on a Tesla and thought Musk was the best thing since sliced bread but now have buyers remorse because he’s conservative is delicious.

These people don’t want to listen to the other side. They need to realize that they are narrow minded. The problem is they still believe they are open minded.

My neighbor across the street bought a Y model Tesla earth’s year..... I suspect that was around $55k.

Recently he commented had to drop $400 to replace ONE tire.

I guess he went with an OEM replacement so it matched the other 3.

$400 for one tire.......no wonder Elon is a multi-billionaire. SMH
