This is idiotic because the concept of leadership is not specific to capitalism. Last time I checked all communist societies had clearly identified leaders as well. In fact they are consistently more centralized and totalitarian in their control than any capitalist society. Perhaps we should lambast cell biology classes for teaching totalitarianism?
Yes. Democratic centralism was the name for direction from the top. The ‘Village Committee’ in Viet Nam was what the VC renamed the village ‘party cell’. Same function, dominate all village activities and manage a complete spy system to monitor the public (and private if an informant could be found) expression of all villagers.
