Cameras are everywhere on God’s green earth now. WHY aren’t they in every single room in every school? There’s no excuse for this.

Even many doggie day cares have CCTVs so owners can log in and watch during the day.

The little rural school I used to teach at/still sub act now has cameras pretty much everywhere except the classrooms. But even if cameras were in the classroom, you as a parent, wouldn’t be able to access them. While you certainly have the right to look at your kid, you don’t have the right to look at anyone else’s kid. Might be a dumb law, but that’s the way it is.

And for what it’s worth, I don’t think a school counselor has the right or power to tell teachers they have to do anything. If a principal sent such an email, there’d be ways that the email would become public. School personnel don’t have the right to withhold any information from parents about the parents’ children.
