Methinks governments at all levels works best with “citizen-legislators” who enter the public arena for a sort time to share their insights from the private sector and then after their limited time in public office return to the private sector. I like the revolving door approach rather than elected official for life mode!

Sounds good, but the alternative would be organizations would finance their candidates the be elected (with pay) on a revolving basis to promote their special interests. Not much different than today except maybe a bit more obvious..
