If you’ve ever traveled through any of Europe’s alpine areas, there’s no doubt in your mind that the Europeans know how to build superior infrastructure — when they choose to.
Truly. Drive through Switzerland or Austria. All the tunneling and bridging it's impressive.
This isn’t going to end well, particularly for the “elites”.
Instead of ........?...............
best way to treat hypothermia is body heat
everybody get naked and get under the covers
just saying ladies
a shout out to all the swiss hotties
IIRC, I heard they have a couple of mountains and know how to ski in Switzerland. Thats not boring.
That is weird. Here in Alaska, we have a large dam that runs all year round. No problems.
Sounds like a typical upstate NYS winter...
Europeans have only had Russian gas for what? 25 years?
Europe existed without gas since the beginning
The main difference I see that the price of gasoline in Poland is only slightly above what I was paying in the big US city I left.
....last time I checked, the Swiss elect their public officials to decide matters of this magnitude (electrical power).
So, let’s all cheer for the dumb bastards shivering under blankets and locked up at home!
“You want it, you voted for it AMIGO!........ YOU GOT IT !!!
If you have to be bored and cold and at home, you might as well be in Switzerland munching Chocolate. Or would you rather be in Boston?
All self-inflicted.

Thank senile Joes sanctions, weaponizing the USD and spreading the Russian Derangement Syndrome-he destroyed world trade, caused untold suffering and pain…..and yes I have been all over the EU- the EU long standing saying : when shaking hands with a Ukrainian, check how many fingers he stole”, ….the population of the EU knows this, but Americans obviously do not- but they are waking up…..and learning anything senile Joe supports leads to destruction.
OH GEEE! Whatever did we do before electricity?

Yes, it is.
The Swiss never kept their homes and apartments as warm as we do, at least back when I lived there (and subsequent visits). Every morning the bedroom windows are opened and the thick feather duvets hung across the windowsills to air for awhile and allow fresh air in, no matter how cold or snowy. Schools, offices, shopping venues, etc., were also cooler in winter than here. Restaurants tended to be warm, though.
The Swiss are stoic. And cunning. They’ll do fine.
So, basically, they’ll be pretty much like their ancestors. The reason Switzerland became the center of the watch-making world is that some smart fellow got the idea of having bored swiss stuck in their cabins make clock parts. A given family might make a particular gear, and would do not much more than that all winter long.

With artillery hidden in the mountains overseeing the roads and with bridges having been designed for explosives placement.
I know we're all tempted to think of them as idiots.
But they're not stupid. They're evil. They know perfectly damned well that their plans and policies are destructive and they do it anyway.
My old farmhouse never gets to 68 in the winter. Usually high 50’s or low 60’s, even with the wood stove. Don’t know what they are complaining about...
