Maybe. But the next guy will be say Prigozhin or Kadyrov. If Putin is somewhat soft but those guys are complete thugs. If Putin will go then his replacement will be much worse.
That may appear to be the case, but internally, Russia is fast approaching its 1917 moment.
Thugs who will ask themselves, "Why the hell did Putin get us involved in this pointless adventure in Ukraine! WHERE IS THE PROFIT? Let's get the hell out and be portrayed as saints!"
